General Meeting - June 15th

Talofa Chamber Members,

After much work and feedback, the RCA Consultants are returning to American Samoa to present the final version of their Tourism Master Plan. In the works for months, the Master Plan promises to be a guiding document our business community and our government can use to develop the industry.

The consultants will present their plan to the Chamber on Tuesday 6/15/10 at 5:30pm, in the conference room at Sadie's By The Sea. You are invited to attend. Pupus and tea/soft drinks will be served, with a cash bar available. Members of the Dept. of Commerce, Territorial Planning Commission and others will also be in attendance, so we encourage you to come talk with key players and see the plan for yourself.

In our monthly Chamber Board meeting last night, David Vaeafe spoke about the importance of viewing tourism as a private sector endeavor. The government certainly plays a major role in facilitating, funding, and creating policies in support of the industry, but the businesses will ultimately provide the product to our visitors. Come to the meeting. See the plan. If we all start on the same page we'll know where to go...
