PRESENTER: Michael E. Valdez, PhD - Assistant Professor of Management, Seton Hall University


COMMENTS: On Wednesday (July 16, 2010) from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the American Samoa Community College’s Land Grant Conference Room, Dr. Michael E. Valdez will be presenting findings from his doctoral research on American Samoan entrepreneurship.  Dr. Valdez’s research looks at motivations, resources, and the work-family spheres on entrepreneurial activities.  Research findings are based on interviews and surveys collected on Tutuila between 2007 and 2008.  Dr. Valdez received his Ph.D. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in International Management and is currently an Assistant Professor of Management at Seton Hall University in New Jersey.  All members of the business, government, and academic communities as well as the general public are welcome to attend.
