The Pago Pago Game Fishing Association is a non-profit organization committed to offering our locals and international guests the very best in world class fishing through tournaments and other activities.
Last year our tournament was a huge success with a total of 11 boats visiting our shores from Samoa, Australia and New Zealand with approximately 55 visitors. Here are some of their feedback comments:-

Our tournament was so popular that participants requested that we plan a longer tournament this year, with free time to explore our Island. With store prices for such items as fabrics, shoes, electronics etc being far cheaper than their home countries, shopping too is a major attraction. This year we anticipate as many as 16 international entries comprising of almost 100 visitors.

Tourism is one of the few industries that American Samoa has to offer for expanding our economic base. We started a journey two years ago to enhance tourism with the 2008 9th Steinlager I’a lapo’a Tournament. This year the 111h Steinlager I’a Lapo’a International Tournament promises to be bigger and better with potentially huge off-island exposure. American Samoa is recognized as a marine activity destination and this tournament is an opportunity to bring fresh money to our economy.
